چکیده

Mimosa pudica is a medicinal plant worthy of therapeutic properties. It often overlooked as one the weed species, and potential was underappreciated despite its abundance in nature, particularly tropical climate countries. Considering aptitude this micropropagation protocol M. revisited enhanced. The seed surface sterilization germination were assessed, followed by shoot multiplication rate root initiation efficiency. Seeds best sterilized with 35% Clorox recorded highest at 65.55% media three-quarter strength Murashige Skoog (MS) combined 30 g sucrose. explants harvested subcultured into fortified 6-benzylaminopurine, kinetin, coconut water. number new shoots leaves obtained 3 3.27 cm MS 17.6 μm kinetin. Half-strength devoid hormone recommended for induction, resulting 5 healthy roots 2.06 after 4 weeks culture. Overall, developed could facilitate large-scale cultivation, indicating crop extraction bioactive compounds.

Optimization of conditions for in vitro seed germination and shoot mul- tiplication of Aconitum heterophyllum Wall

Aconitum heterophyllum is a critically endangered medicinal plant species of Indian Himalayas. Micropropagation of this plant is considered important for its ex-situ conservation as well as to generate large scale planting material for commercial supply. During the present study, seeds were taken as starting material. Seeds of A. heterophyllum are associated with a dormancy period and so optimi...

Mimosa pudica, Dionaea muscipula and anesthetics.

Some studies showed that anesthetics reduce the response of physical stimuli in Mimosa pudica and in Venus Flytrap (Dionaea muscipula), peculiar plants that have the ability to respond to touch stimuli. In this research we tested the effects of ketamine, lidocaine, diethyl ether, and amlodipine on the movements of Mimosa pudica and Venus Flytrap. With a literature review, we tried to bring elem...
